i fell in love w draco back in 2014? 2013? god, i don't even know at this point, he's been my favorite character for so long. i will protect him with everything i am for forever.
it's honestly hard to properly describe what he means to me but thinking about him usually.. calms me down... uhhh and every thought of him makes me go heart eyes

some people think he's a cursed character, and that he's basically a younger snape, and that's wrong and y'all headasses for thinking that so i'm just going to say that he was forced to be that way. his parents heavily influenced his life, and he had no control over that.
if you want to compare him to anyone, compare him to harry. they were both influenced in different directions, but in the end: they were just kids. he was 17 when he was supposed to kill dumbledore, and we all fucking know he didn't want to, even if "bad mouthed" dumbledore earlier, he respected him, and dumbledore even showed care for him, which no one else did.
draco has some of the best character development, and all in all, he deserved to be redeemed, over snape because he was a kid, he had love in his heart.
the purest thing about draco is his love for scorpius, which is 100% canon and gorgeous, and he loves scorpius with all of his heart, and if you think even for a second that draco is still a villain after seeing how much he loves scorpius you are blind.
all he wants to do is be happy and to be loved. he was only loved by his mother, and he never really sought out love as a child because his father told him that fear was better than love.
he may not have always been the best character. i'm not going to deny his flaws because he was mean, and he was terrible to hermione, and that can't be 100% justified, especially after he matured. BUT. that does not make him a villain, it makes him a bully, but not a villain. his father showed him that these things were how you gained power, and he was taught that power was the only important thing in life.
draco probably had one of the worst experiences out of every character besides harry.. yea he was rich.. but he was always in agony and never really happy?
he deserves the world and he has so much potential and fuck jk rowling for not giving him that and he has so so much kindness in his heart. i just love him a lot i really do, and i do ship drarry, because i think harry is what draco needed and will always need to make him whole.
